Quapaw Nation Offers Free Budgeting Class Series in February

The Quapaw Nation’s Higher Education Department is hosting a free three-part budgeting class series to help community members improve their financial literacy and learn practical money management skills. The sessions will be held at the Quapaw Nation Community Building and are also accessible online via Zoom.

  • Dates: Wednesday, Feb. 5, Feb. 12, and Feb. 19, 2025
  • Time: 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. (Central Time)
  • Location: Quapaw Nation Community Building, 5681 S. 630 Rd., Quapaw, OK

Registration Information

Registration is required by 12:00 p.m. on Jan. 29, 2025. To register:

  1. Email education.department@quapawnation.com
  2. Indicate whether you will attend all three classes or specific dates.
  3. Specify if you will attend in person or virtually.

Sheriff Requests OSBI Investigation into Jail Incident Involving Sanko By Inquisitor Miami News-Digest MIAMI, Okla. — Ottawa County Sheriff David Dean has requested an independent investigation by the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI) into an incident involving an arrestee, Sanko, at the county jail. Sheriff Dean issued a press release stating that, at this time, it does not appear that Sanko was assaulted while in custody. In his statement, Sheriff Dean confirmed that an OSBI agent has been assigned to the case.
